Physicians Debt Solution

Is your business administration distracting you from practicing healthcare?

Many challenges are involved in running a practice, and the difficulty of getting reimbursement can affect the quality of patient care. As a physician, do you find yourself distracted from your mission of treating your patients because you spend too much time trying to figure out how to obtain payment?

In your frustration, have you decided to “Outsource” this headache to your accountant or send a letter to your patients informing them that you no longer deal with Medical Aid?  If so, this is probably only serving to create a negative customer experience and only addresses the symptoms which does not solve the problem at the root cause for you or your patients.

There is a better solution.doctorman_cartoon

Our Company is called Training Leadership Consulting (TLC).

The goal of TLC is to put YOU in control of the financial health
of your practice.

Why choose TLC?

TLC brings experienced people and proprietary technology into partnership with physicians’ practices to master business administrative procedures, specifically the reimbursement process, allowing the physicians to focus on their medical mission.

TLC has an Easy 3-STEP Approach to giving you control of your business.

Step 1. Review and Document
Many businesses are far too dependent on individuals (rather than integrated policies, procedures, and metrics) to run their business.  We start by reviewing the basic systems and procedures in your business. The processes you follow and the systems you use for handling the patient from the time they book an appointment to the time their payment has been reconciled determines your cash-flow success.  These processes will be evaluated for effectiveness.

We gain an understanding of your current situation by documenting and measuring your current performance against best practice.  You have probably never had the opportunity to design the perfect way to manage your practice so that it runs well regardless of who is running it for you.  What’s more important to understand is that if you have not designed the correct way to manage your practice, you are leaving your office staff to make these decisions as they see fit.  In this step, we will discover the current procedures (or lack there of) that are producing the current results.

Step 2. Design

Imagine how effective your business would be if you had designed it from the ground up to meet your needs rather than let it evolve by default over time.  Now is your chance!  Based on industry best practice and our specialized knowledge of Medical Aids, we work with you and your staff to design the perfect way to run your business.   We will work with you to design the changes you have been wishing for.  Because humans are often change-resistant, we will advise you on change management issues that may or may not act as inhibitors to your new solution. Based on our findings, we may recommend an enabling solution that involves a 3rd party vendor.  We will manage this process and ensure that any solution implementation is seamless with minimal interruptions to the day-to-day running of your practice.

Step 3. Train and Document.

Allowing your staff to run your practice as they see fit might seem optimal – and this would only apply if the individuals are experts at running a business and they stick around forever.  But what would happen to your business if a key person left you?  How long would it take you to get back up to speed with new staff members? Many businesses suffer from this critical weakness.  Most Doctors only discover this once a key person goes on maternity leave, holiday, or worse, emigrates or leaves for another job.   Once complete, all existing and new employees will be trained on the way of operating in a new high performance environment.  You will also receive a hardcopy and electronic manual of your business processes as a point of reference for your employees.

In order to ensure that your Debtor’s book continues to improve, TLC will track your debtor’s daily and coach your staff through any undesirable trends.  We will also provide you with a monthly analysis and a summary on how your debtor’s book is improving.  We will put this into simple financial terms to show you the Rand value that this is adding to your practice.

By proactively managing the key metrics, like you cash-ratio(cash collected immediately), and debt-clearance (cash collected in 30+days) TLC ensures you have a total peace of mind knowing that your business is financially secure.

This enables you to fulfill your mission of caring for your patients.
